Guidelines
Our shared standards for building a safe, inclusive, and vibrant event community across India.
Our Community Values
At Nexum, we believe in fostering diverse, inclusive, and safe communities where people from all backgrounds can discover events, connect with others, and build meaningful relationships. Our platform enables event organizers and attendees across India to come together — and we are committed to ensuring that every interaction on Nexum is respectful, safe, and positive.
These Community Guidelines apply to all users across all Nexum platforms, including our website, mobile applications, in-app chat, event pages, profiles, matching features, and any other aspect of the Service. By using Nexum, you agree to abide by these guidelines in addition to our Terms of Service.
Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, event delisting, account suspension or permanent ban, and reporting to law enforcement authorities where appropriate.
1. Respect Each Other
Nexum is built on the foundation of human connection. Treat every user with dignity and respect, whether you are an event organizer, attendee, or someone exploring the platform.
Harassment: Do not engage in any form of harassment, including bullying, intimidation, stalking, sexual harassment, blackmail, or targeted abuse. This applies to all interactions — event pages, chat messages, matching, profiles, and any other platform feature.
Threats and Violence: Do not threaten to harm any individual or group. Credible threats of physical violence, incitement to violence, or glorification of violence will result in immediate removal and may be reported to law enforcement.
Hate Speech: Hate speech or hateful conduct of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes promoting violence, discrimination, or hostility based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic under Indian law.
Privacy: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personally identifiable information of any user without their explicit consent. Doxxing is strictly prohibited.
Sexual Harassment and Exploitation: Do not share, distribute, solicit, or create sexually explicit content of other people without consent.
Child Safety: Any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers individuals under 18 is strictly prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement under the POCSO Act, 2012.
Self-Harm: Do not glorify, promote, or encourage self-harm or suicide. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact a helpline — iCall: 9152987821 or Vandrevala Foundation: 1860-2662-345.
2. Respect the Platform
Help us keep Nexum safe, trustworthy, and enjoyable for everyone.
Spam and Manipulation: Do not engage in spamming, mass messaging, unsolicited promotions, or repetitive content. Do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate engagement metrics or game the matching system.
Fake Events and Misleading Content: Do not create events with false or fraudulent information. Event details must be accurate and truthful. Creating events solely to collect personal data or promote scams is strictly prohibited.
Impersonation: Do not impersonate any person, organisation, brand, or entity. Parody or fan accounts must be clearly labelled.
Security and Fraud: Do not engage in phishing, social engineering, distributing malware, attempting unauthorized access, or any form of financial fraud.
Misinformation: Content that is false, misleading, and could lead to significant risk of physical or societal harm may not be shared on Nexum.
Platform Integrity: Do not circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features, access controls, or content moderation systems.
3. Event Organizer Responsibilities
Event organizers play a critical role in maintaining the quality and safety of the Nexum community. As an organizer, you are responsible for:
Accuracy: Provide truthful and complete event information. Do not exaggerate attendance, fabricate endorsements, or misrepresent the nature of your event.
Safety: Take reasonable measures to ensure the safety and security of attendees at your event venue, including compliance with local safety regulations.
Legal Compliance: Obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and approvals required to host your event under applicable laws.
Inclusivity: Events on Nexum must be welcoming and non-discriminatory. You may not deny entry or participation based on protected characteristics.
Refund Policies: Clearly state your cancellation and refund policy at the time of listing. Honour the commitments you make.
Attendee Data: You must not download, export, or use attendee information obtained through Nexum for purposes outside the platform without explicit consent.
4. Matching and Chat Guidelines
Nexum's matching and chat features are designed to help attendees connect meaningfully at events. Use these features responsibly.
Consent and Boundaries: Respect other users' boundaries. If someone is not interested in connecting, do not persist. Unwanted repeated contact is considered harassment.
Appropriate Communication: Keep conversations respectful and relevant. Do not send unsolicited sexual content, explicit images, offensive messages, or threatening language.
No Solicitation: Do not use the matching or chat features for commercial solicitation, spam, pyramid schemes, MLM recruitment, or promoting unrelated products and services.
Reporting and Blocking: If you encounter inappropriate behaviour, use the in-app report and block features. We take all reports seriously. Filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation.
Profile Authenticity: Your profile should accurately represent you. Do not use fake photos, misleading descriptions, or another person's identity.
